Fruit tapestries can be used in a variety of ways. There is the traditional wall-hanging fruit tapestry, of course, which still remains a bestseller as it always was. But there are several other types of fruit tapestries too. If you browse around a little, you will come across a fantastic idea for using fruit tapestries, which is in the form of runners. These runners have a border artistic design with an internal area containing of several fruit patterns. Mostly the fruits are shown with a lot of vine and leaves, which allows for a continuous intertwining pattern. These tapestry runners can be finished in a variety of ways too, though the tassels are the favorites of people that use them. Fruit tapestry runners look good in several places -- over the pianos, over dining tables, hanging above the mantelpiece, etc. You can be as innovative as you want.

The traditional fruit tapestries remain ever popular though. As their name indicates, fruit tapestries contain fruit patterns on them. These could be realistic art with great detail in drawing and coloring, or they could be abstract fruit motifs. Dual color tones are also greatly used in fruit tapestries, preferably on a black background. Color combinations of gold and red or gold and green look fantastic on a black background. These are also the bestselling in the fruit tapestry world.

But it is not necessary that the actual fruit must be depicted either. A case in point is the wine tapestry that is extremely popular. Wine comes from grapes, so it qualifies as a fruit tapestry, but the grapes may not be actually shown. Wonderful designs with just a wine bottle and a wine glass partially filled with the liquid are very commonly sold. There are endless such options actually.

Fruit tapestries look very much at place in the kitchens. Place one large fruit tapestry on an empty wall of your kitchen, if possible near the dining table, and see the huge amount of enhancement it makes to the kitchen. These tapestries give kitchens a very homely and earthy feel, which becomes really quite inviting. If you are having guests dining in the kitchen, in all probability they will feel you are more hospitable just because of the fruit tapestry you have in the kitchen. That's the kind of sentimental and emotional value these tapestries can bring to your kitchen.

But whoever thinks fruit tapestries are meant only for kitchens is making a grave mistake. Large fruit tapestries, usually painted in their natural colors, look wonderful in your sitting rooms too. These tapestries can bring the homely and inviting feeling here too. It's wonderful if you have a fruit tapestry over your head and you are relaxing on a sofa in the room sipping your drink and looking at the tapestry. It is a wonderful way to make your guests feel at home too.
All kinds of fruits (and of course all their colors) are used in fruit tapestries. There are several variations and themes within this genre too, like you have the Mediterranean fruit tapestries, the temperate fruit tapestries and the tropical fruit tapestries.the list could go on and on. You could go with a theme or go for a mix-and-match sort of tapestry. Either way, you've got a winner for your home decor.
